Since I am recently engaged, I have had the honor of purchasing several bridal magazines (instead of just fingering through them creepily at Borders). I ended up picking up the most recent edition of InStyle Weddings which has some GREAT articles for brides to be….or just girls who like weddings!!
Anyway, as I was flipping through the pages they have a GREAT section titled “Wedding Web Guide” it includes the best websites for fashion, beauty, stationary, registry, decor, and travel. In the fashion section they included an amazing site called dessy.com (created by The Dessy Group)
Dessy is a site that has teamed up with Pantone to help brides find the best color schemes for their big day. Not only will they show you the colors and recommend matching highlights etc. BUT they also recommend bridesmaid dresses, accessories and mens clothing based off what you have chosen. They then mush everything together and make you an inspiration board….say WHAT!?!?
After you are settled on what colors you will use. They will send you 8 1/2 by 11 Pantone color swatches to take with you to every vendor so they FULLY understand the colors you want!! BRILLIANT!
EXAMPLE:
Lets say I go through the Pantone swatches and decide I LOOOVE APPLETINI as one of my wedding colors….
And there you have it folks…wedding PLANNED.
This site also includes: a wedding dress search, bridesmaid etiquette, flower girl dresses, shoes etc. Enjoy!
