Happily Ever After

Weddings can be a little like New Years’ resolutions.

Brides-to-be in particular use the date as an incentive to look her best on her special day and this is not necessarily a bad thing, unless she gets terribly obsessed with her appearance that she forgets the true purpose of the day – which is to make a vow of lifelong commitment to her fiancĂ© in front of family and friends.

As well as using the date to set some fitness goals, I recommend brides and grooms take the time to sit down together to plan their goals together as a team – a married couple.

They might be fitness goals, but they could very easily be financial goals too.

In my experience, the secret to a happy married life is remembering that each of you are part of a team working together, so use your engagement wisely and start thinking of yourselves as ‘Mr and Mrs Incorporated’ and to look at opportunities to make decisions together.
